30 Rock This smart comedy comprises of a cast of hilarious people such as Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, and Jack McBrayer. It has received many Emmy nominations. I have not been watching the show from the beginning so I do not watch it on a regular basis, but what I have seen has been fairly good and I recommend it. 3rd Rock from the Sun Aliens have invaded Earth! John Lithgow, Kristen Johnson, French Stewart, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt land in Rutherford, Ohio to observe human life. To blend in, they themselves resume a human form and encounter hilarious mishaps as they discover the mysteries of Earth. You'll be laughing along as they learn of human emotions and the functions of house-hold objects. Two extra terrestrial thumbs up! | ![]() ![]() |
10 Things I Hate About You I found myself happily surprised with this teen comedy spin-off from the movie with the same title about high school conflicts. The acting is very good and the show is current especially when alluding to The Hangover, Friends, and Brangelina. Sadly it was canceled and the ending leaves you with so many unresolved questions. | ![]() |
Drake & Josh This is another good teen comedy which follows Drake Parker and Josh Nichols and their brotherly love and also fights. Another factor that creates conflict and many plots for the show is their younger meddling sister Megan who plays jokes on them constantly. | ![]() |
Entourage Intended for older audiences, Entourage revolves around Vincent Chase an aspiring actor and those who help him along the way (friends "E"-Eric, Turtle, brother Johnny "Drama" Chase, and agent Ari). This Emmy nominated show deals with situations encountered on the road to fame. "Let's hug it out b*tch" | ![]() |
Family Guy As much as I tried not to like it, I do. Family Guy's humour is very vulgar and controversial but it is funny! It's wild and wacky and also has observational humour that will make you nod your head in agreement. If you are a person of colour or follow a certain religion, try not to be offended and don't take the show too seriously. | ![]() |
Friends "How you doin'?" Still one of the most watched sitcoms today, Friends has quotable lines and unforgettable characters. Watch all 10 seasons of this great show and follow Ross and Rachel's rocky relationship, Joey's acting career, Chandler's maturing, and much more. You'll love this group of Friends. | ![]() |
Fries with That? A Canadian sitcom about young employees working in a fast-food restaurant under the management of a less than average height guy named Ben whom the employees like to make fun of. Alex, Pattie, Robin, and Tess are the slacker employees who would rather pick up girls, discuss cute boys, and even put on plays in the back room instead of actually working. Not yet available on D.V.D or Blu-Ray, but I wish it was! | ![]() |
iCarly When this tween/teen comedy started I thought I would not like it and wasn't even going to give it a shot, but I'm glad I did. Carly and Sam host a web show filmed by their other friend Freddy in Carly and her older brother Spencer's apartment. The random comedy adds to the entertainment of this wacky show. | ![]() |
Just For Laughs Gags What's better than unsuspecting people of Montreal get practical jokes played on them? You'll be sure to laugh at their reactions of bewilderment, shock, and sometimes disgust to the pranks pulled and then see their reactions to being on hidden camera. | ![]() |
Just Shoot Me! See a young David Spade as Dennis Finch who works at Blush magazine with co-workers Nina, Elliot, and father-daughter team Maya and dad Jack the boss as they deal with common office dilemmas resulting in outrageous comedy. | ![]() |
Kenny vs. Spenny I first watched this with my cousin and he thought it was the funniest thing, and I on the other hand thought "What a stupid guy show" and it is but after watching it several times I began to like it. It's hilarious! Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice are friends who live together and face off in competitions like "Who Can Win a Beauty Pageant?" and "Who Do Old People Like More?" in which every episode Kenny does not follow the rules and makes Spenny upset. | ![]() |
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon I have to give credit to former S.N.L cast member Jimmy Fallon for his great talk show. It was a rocky start, watching Fallon get into the groove of doing a monologue but now he's a pro. What's especially funny is when he takes time to write Thank You Notes, usually not made out to people. | ![]() |
Mad TV Similar to S.N.L, Mad TV shows a variety of skits but they are not performed live. Audience favourite recurring characters include an eccentric albino boy named Stuart, hard-core high school gym teacher Coach Hines, and Johnny Gan, and Asian film reviewer. | ![]() |
Married...with Children A revolutionizing comedy, this was the first prime time TV series of FOX and was a big hit with 11 seasons revolving around Al Bundy, the not so happy family man. Al works at a shoe store, has a wife who sits around at home and does nothing, kids who don't respect him and annoying neighbours. | ![]() |
Rules of Engagement In my opinion one of the best sitcoms currently running on TV; great actors, great show. Rarely do we get to see Patrick Warburton act since he is usually doing voices for cartoons, but as married man Jeff on Rules, he is hysterical along with the naive about marriage character Adam played by Oliver Hudson and David Spade as single man Russell. | ![]() |
The Big Bang Theory Geeks unite! for this smart comedy with a group of guys who work in the field of science and the blond from across the hall Penny. Most scenes are made by the presence of Sheldon Cooper played by Jim Parsons an Emmy nominated actor for his role. | ![]() |
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air Will Smith as Will Smith! Smooth-talker Will is sent to live with his aunt and uncle in Bel Air--an upscale community very different from what Will is used to. He cause quite a bit of trouble but in the end usually makes up for it. Other great characters include Will's cousins Hillary who loves her rich lifestyle and Carlton often mocked by Will for his height. | ![]() |
The Tom Green Show I've never seen a full episode of the show because I don't think I had the channel it aired on but I've seen parts of it and it's very entertaining. Tom Green is one of my favourite comedians, very versatile. Check out the music part of the site for info on a group he was apart of called Organized Rhyme. | ![]() |
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno My favourite late night talk show and host, Jay Leno does an excellent job. He truly has a warm and caring personality and when he laughs I immediately start laughing with him--it's infectious. Headlines and Jaywalking are the best and segments with Ross Matthews are always welcome! | ![]() |
Three's Company All the slips, trips, and falls on the show couldn't keep women away from lady's man Jack Tripper played by the late John Ritter who finds himself sharing an apartment with two women, Janet and Chrissy. The laughs the show receives rely heavily on misunderstandings and physical comedy. The roommates and landlords may change over the course of 8 seasons but the comedy remains hysterically good. | ![]() |
What I Like About You Starring Amanda Bynes and Jennie Garth, it's a sweet comedy about relationships and caring sisters. Both are very funny as Holly and Val and the great supporting characters like Gary, Tina, and Lauren solidify the comedy. | ![]() |
